St Gerard’s Parish boasts the largest number of servers anywhere in the diocese and these young men are very competent in the service of Christ, the Eucharistic King on the altar.
The servers train every Thursday during the school year from 5.00pm to 6.30pm. When sufficiently competent to serve the Mass, they are presented with the cassock and surplice at a Sunday Mass. Servers who have shown constant dedication are inducted into the Guild of St Stephen at St Patrick’s Cathedral.
