St Gerard’s Youth Group

As of January 2021, this group will not be held until COVID restrictions have eased.

Becoming a part of St Gerard’s Youth Group is a fantastic way for secondary School aged youth (teenagers up to 17 years) to grow in their love of Christ, the Church and our Catholic faith. Each week we pray the rosary, enjoy various games and activities, and receive instruction in all aspects of the Catholic faith. It’s a fantastic forum to ask questions, form friendships with other young Catholics and to be inspired to grow in holiness! Pizza and/or refreshments are served at the end of each meeting. There is no cost for attendance.

We are grateful for the Leaven of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Sisters who are currently directing our youth group, with the assistance of Fr Francis Denton. The adult leaders of the youth group all have up-to-date Working With Children Checks and comply with the protocols set out in the Catholic Archdiocese of Melbourne Professional Standards.

The Youth Group meets every Monday from 6:30pm-8:30pm during the school year, in the Majellan Room (located next to Parish Hall behind the church). There is a break from Youth Group over the summer from Christmas through to the beginning of February. In addition to our regular Monday meetings there are various other events for youth run throughout the year including the parish “All Saints Day” and various youth retreats run by the LIHM Sisters.

New-comers are always welcome! Please contact the parish for more information.
